Today was a step forward in my treatment. Details later.
The day began with tennis. It was the men against the women. The expected result was achieved without much sweat. In fact, it was not even close. If we had won a tiebreaker by, say, 13-11, now that would be close. But we won 7-5 in the tiebreaker. Our 7 was 40% more than the women's 5!
The Miralax had its way for a while this morning, but we pulled things together in time to head off to Utopia Wellness to discuss alternate therapies. Green tea helped to settle things.
Our time at Utopia was wonderful. The two main themes of our discussion were cleaning out the colon and building up the immune system. There are a few lesser treatments down the road, but next Tuesday, we will begin Colon Hydrotherapy and an Antioxidant IV. This will be in addition to continuing with 4 more chemo sessions. The plan is that these will be the final four.
These are focuses that will be part of my ongoing cancer prevention routines after the chemo is over. As the doctor said, we all have cancer. We need to have strong immune systems to keep it at bay and a good digestive system to get rid of toxins.
I am excited about what we will be doing. I had tears in my eyes when we left.
The research manager was also excited both because of what I will be receiving and also because these treatments are what she said I needed. She has done so much research that she can go toe to toe with any doctor.
By the way, the nurse practitioner sat in on our meeting. My feelings about nurse practitioners were reinforced.
Earlier evening than some. I still have to do an Epsom salt soak and then rest. The Miralax effect came back this evening and that makes me tired.
