An odd perspective

A much better day today.

To begin with, I had 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep and that felt soooo good.

I had decent energy.

I made breakfast this morning for the first time in about a week. I gave the research manager a two egg omelet and made a three egg omelet for myself. Why did I take a three egg omelet? You would guess that I was really hungry or wanted more protein. You would be wrong. There was an odd number of eggs in the carton and I like an even number of eggs when I open a carton of eggs. She laughed at me.

We played bridge this afternoon and actually won. Amazing!

Dinner at Ha Long Bay and a shot of wheatgrass and we headed home.

One of the benefits of a horrible yesterday was that one of our toilets became blocked. We tried a few things, but got home to find it was still an issue. As a result, I got to drive myself to Home Depot to get a snake. Imagine.....the first time in about two weeks that I was allowed to drive my car and by myself at that! We patient prisoners enjoy whatever freedom we are afforded.

We are giving serious thought to either taking a brief chemo break or perhaps a reduction/elimination of part of the chemo cocktail. This would be to allow my system to stabilize. With the research manager's supplements, I think that we can continue to get improvement. I expect that we will start discussions with the medical staff tomorrow.

Stay tuned.
