For those that know me, you are aware that I like to kid. Whether it is laying down a hand in bridge or making a joke out of something that happens or is said, I delight in coming with something unexpected.
Well, good old chemo has inherited my kidding tendency.
I just knew that I would feel much better today, but chemo was just playing with me.
I woke up this morning with a dry and sore mouth, diarrhea and ringworm, just about the same as yesterday. I did not feel that great but struggled through the day.
My cancer pal in Tampa, who for these last few days is doing better than I, came up with her solution for the dry mouth (Biotene) and the diarrhea ( Imodium AD every 4 hours.) I am so thankful for the suggestions. We each get strength by sharing our experiences.
We picked up the Biotene just after I got a double shot of wheatgrass this afternoon and I couldn't wait to get home to try it. The Biotene seems to be helping and I will swig another mouthful in an hour or so. More Imodium AD is also in the near future.
So, things are very slowly moving in the right direction.
That gives me new optimism for tomorrow. Chemo can't fool me twice!
