Wise Man

A mixture of thoughts today.

Overall, it was a decent day. The highlight was probably the acupuncture. I got off the table feeling really relaxed and happy.

I mentioned to a few people this morning that I had unearthed some scrap gold and intended to take it to the refinery in Tampa. I decided after the acupuncture that going to the refinery was not urgent and so we went to our health food store for a few things. Unbelievably, two of the items were frankincense and myrrh. These are essential oils that are good for me. Talk about feeling like a wise man.

I was brought up short at the health food store. The research manager put two containers of blueberries in the cart. I have a good supply of blueberries at home. When I mentioned that, she said that the ones she was buying were for her and that with all that is happening, she just wanted something for herself. Wow....I need to be far more sensitive to her needs during this journey.

For the first time, I am not at all looking forward to chemo tomorrow. I don't feel like taking anything to do during the chemo and I don't feel like taking anything to eat. I hope that the frankincense and myrrh can change my mood.

One really cool thing happened today. I got an email from someone who supports a school for disabled children in Thailand. He indicated that he was going to have the children sing and pray for me. Apparently the singing is not all that great, but the enthusiasm is there. Now that makes me feel good.

Time for and Epsom salt soak and Cash Cab. What more could I want?!
