Interesting day today.
I had to get up by 7 am, even though I did not feel like it, in order to have breakfast before 8 am to allow for 6 hours before my petscan.
This allowed me to get a few things done and to watch a little TV. For whatever reason, I like The Price is Right. I saw a commercial in which the spokesperson said her name and that she had lost 50 pounds on ____. I said back to the TV, "I am Charles Gill and I have lost 35 pounds on chemo."
My blood work went well and my white blood cell count is actually better than 2 weeks ago.
Then it was off to the imaging center. I was looked after by Emily who did a wonderful job. When I asked for a CD of the scan, she said that I could pick it up tomorrow when I picked up the report. I said that the research manager wanted it tonight and "You know how wives are." She said "How are we?" I think she may have run the scan an extra long time as a result. By the way, the research manager has not looked at it yet.
On the way to the club, we went through the McDonald's drive through for Egg McMuffins. The young guy at the window called the research manager "Baby." I bet that we go to that McDonalds more often!
As the day wore on, my bowels began to revert to their former (meaning bad) selves. We ended up getting an appointment with my GI doctor to look at the situation, particularly the pain I feel often.
Final piece of advice for today from a cancer support person. How to treat ringworm. Coat it with nail polish!
Gotta run. Need to do an Epsom Salt soak and Cash Cab starts soon.
